The answer, as you might expect from someone who has previously spent a great deal of time on fafsa.com, is yes. The company offers to sell you cars with fafsa money, but only if you can provide documentation. Once you have those documents, the dealership will send the cash.
What does the process involve?
The process is simple, too:
2) Fill out the application form.
You will get a confirmation of your application within 48 hours. You can then pay the dealership with your fafsa, and send a copy to [email protected]
If it’s good enough for the car, fafsa will refund the fees.
What about if there are no documents?
If you have no documents on file, fafsa won’t provide finance, and the dealership will not be able to resell the car.
Can I be held financially responsible for the car if I have no documents?
If you’re able to provide the fach with adequate documentation. You can be held responsible for that payment, even if you have no papers.
So, what can I do to protect myself against the risks?
There are two different options:
1) Write to the relevant authorities and ask to see them. They’ll want to know if you’re able to provide the documents (and they might already have some). If you don’t have any documents, ask if they have some.
You can also try to find a trustworthy company, one that knows how to deal with the fach (as well as how to deal with the fachs). I also recommend contacting [email protected] directly. Their website has lots of useful information, including the list of fachs and the fachs’ rules.
In any case, it all depends on the situation. But I strongly encourage you to find a trusted company, and if possible, find one that you can trust.
There’s a lot more to fach than this. If there is any more information you think is useful or helpful, please let me know at [email protected]
