I am a videographer and I would love to have the opportunity to work for you. I know many videographers who are looking and are getting ready to work for you. As a small agency, I don’t have a lot of time to spend looking for and working with new and untapped talent. As a result, my average is usually around $200/month. I take an average of 4-5 weeks off a month. I usually take a 1-2 week holiday. The average month of unemployment is 4 months. On top of that, I take a 2-3 month vacation! I get paid through commission on my video work. Some of my work includes: I make up for my part time job and still pay my rent. I get paid on the day on which it is filmed and then in 2-3 payments (usually the following week). Then I go home and start shooting in the morning. I get paid per hour. For example, if I make $800 of work in a video, that is $7.00 per hour. On average it is a minimum of $3.00 per hour.
I was recently talking to my friends while working on my video at a party. For whatever reason, they were asking me to take my clothes off before we got to the party, so I declined. I was worried about my car and my wallet being stolen, but we got out after a few minutes and were on our way again.
How much do videographers make per video?
It’s hard to nail this number down because, as an independent firm, we’re not bound by budgets, etc. But to get an accurate measure, we shoot in the middle range for most, but some have been as high as $3,000/month. We get paid in 10 different tiers of payment based on what we’re able to deliver: $3.00 minimum per hour (2 days), $4.00 minimum per hour (2-4 days), $1.00 minimum per hour ($1-2 days), $500 minimum per hour ($2-3 days), and $30,000 minimum per hour ($4-5 days). This system is why most people can go by their own estimations of the weekly payday they should get.
The first step in a new project at the State Department, in a new position, is to begin planning, as I said yesterday, a way to organize the information and resources I’ll use to make this new endeavor
