As mentioned, Saffron seed will grow into a bush in just a few days to a week.
It’s not going to grow quite as fast as a bush, but it will produce a strong seedling. I’ve found that in my field it is usually just possible to get a fairly good plant in just a couple of days once the weather conditions are right.
A week is not an adequate amount of time when you are planting seed to make sure it will get strong enough to germinate. So I recommend at least two weeks.
