That’s really cheap by world standards and more expensive than anything you can buy in the supermarket. It’s not a safe, natural ingredient but it’s safe for those sensitive to the smell which are people with sensitive noses.
How do you know if a dish contains saffron?
Saffron powder is usually not found in all Indian dishes. You can test it on your own by heating it or by soaking a small quantity of the powder in water to check for that. The saffron is always present in the sauce which is made from the saffron powder.
If you have a favorite dish make sure you test it. It is a good idea to make a test to make sure you don’t have a problem with saffron powder. Do not over-dose. You might kill someone!
