As many as 40,000 Russian athletes took part in a state-of-the-art training camp in Sochi. The event, dubbed ‘Olympic Games 2020,’ officially began on July 2 and continues until August 11.

After finishing the first night, Russia’s athletes were moved onto a second, more challenging stage, the ‘Olympic Outdoor Arena’ that features more rough terrain than the Olympic village.

The 25-year-old’s first competition this season took place at last week’s European Championship where he placed fifth in the heavyweight category, finishing with 7.3 points in seven contests.

Sushko won his third title earlier this month at the world championship in Austria.

Nikita Kucherov

The 26-year-old who plays for CSKA Moscow is currently in a fight to stay in the top flight, and has never won any gold. But he still has time left to win a third title and will be hoping to do so in Moscow at around the same time he’s competing against Savchenko in the outdoor arena.
